HOLY GHOST CATHEDRAL
Holy Ghost Cathedral was founded in 1984 by Yahweh our GOD and our visionnaires Pastor Emeritus - Apostle Preston Grimes and the late Co-Pastor Jessie Grimes. This couple's founding principles were ensuring the people of GOD are loved, taught the Word of GOD and exposed to the deliverance aspect of ministry. HGC will celebrate 40 years of existence in October of 2024. It has been the grace and favor of GOD that has allowed our ministry to remain a beacon of hope in our community and the surrounding areas.
Our founders guiding principles continue to this day as the ministry is currently led by their son Pastor Reginald Grimes - affectionally called "Pastor Reggie." Pastor Reggie is building on the firm foundation laid by Yahweh and his parents as he continues to strongly emphasize and implement the New Testament structure into the fabric of HGC. He is intentional on preparing our local assembly to function in the fruits of the spirit, gifts of the spirit and the ministry gifts - apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher. Pastor Reggie also stresses the need for us to function and live our lives according to biblical sound doctrine. As many that are lead of the Holy Spirit are welcome to come and grow with us at "The Cathedral!"

OUR MISSION AND FOCUS
Our Mission is to ensure we are walking in total obedience to the will of The Most High so HIS predestined agenda will be fulfilled in the lives of those GOD has given us oversight. It's also our mission to be intentional on the proper use and distribution of the resources that the people of GOD freely and cheerfully give for the ongoing work of our local church and the Kingdom of GOD. And finally, our mission is to make sure HGC is being effective and impactful in the community HE has established us in, as well as other ministries HE has called us to assist. Our church motto is, "Living Submitted Lives, Worshipping In Truth and Serving With Excellence."
Our Focus has a few parts to it. The HGC leadership has a strong interest and passion in the strength of the family. A strong family lacking nothing helps empower the local community and local church. So there is a emphasis in making sure our assembly of members, as well as those that fellowship with us on occasion are taught scripturally how we are to function as family and a church body.
Love is the essential ingredient and glue that will hold all things together - especially in trying times. So those of us at HGC are purposeful in demonstrating REAL love. The apostle Paul speaks of charity (translated to the word "love") in I Corinthians 13:1-3 (KJV). And it says:
1.Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
Lastly, our focus at HGC is to be a group of mature spirit led people walking in the highest level of integrity, character and humility. GOD requires this in order for us to live in a consistent level of spiritual awareness and to fulfill our individual and collective purpose.
